Dr. RMP Mohamad Idwan (‘Kiki’) Ganie, born in 1955 in Amsterdam, is an Indonesian national based in Jakarta. As Chairman of GAP Dr. Ganie brings over 40 years of legal expertise to the table. He earned his Ph.D. in law from the University of Hamburg in 1982.

Dr. Ganie’s specialization lies in commercial transactions and disputes. He is an accredited member of the Indonesian Bar and a licensed capital market lawyer in Indonesia. He is also a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (FSIArb), holding a position on SIArb’s Primary Panel of Arbitrators.

Further, Dr. Ganie is the President of the Association of Indonesian Antitrust Lawyers and the President of the Indonesian Court of Arbitration for Sports (a role he has held since 2011). He is an arbitrator with SIAC in Singapore since 2003 and with AIAC in Kuala Lumpur. Additionally, he’s on the panel of arbitrators with the Indonesian BANI National Arbitration Centre (BANI) and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne (since 2011).

Over the past quarter-century, he has lectured on Legal Writing and Legal Reasoning at the University of Indonesia. Among his many achievements, Dr. Ganie authored the book “Corporate Acquisitions and Mergers in Indonesia” (Kluwer Law International, 4th ed. 2023).

Mr. R.M.P. Mohamad Bestari A Ganie, S.H., is the Vice Managing Partner at GAP. Bestari is an alumnus of the Faculty of Law Pelita Harapan, specializing in business law.

Bestari’s expertise lies in general legal matters, corporate restructuring, cyber law, business competition law, criminal law, and alternative dispute resolution.

Throughout his career, he has handled various cases, including litigation, integrated infrastructure projects, property acquisition, class action, and asset tracing.

He is a certified advocate by the Dewan Pengacara Nasional Indonesia (DPN Indonesia). Additionally, he holds certifications in blockchain from the Blockchain Council as a Certified Blockchain & Law Professional. He has also completed the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme.

Mr. Mohamad Ali Imran Ganie, S.H., is the Managing Partner at GAP. He is an alumnus of the Faculty of Law Pelita Harapan, specializing in business law.

Imran’s expertise lies in general legal matters, corporate reorganization, cyber law, business competition law, and alternative dispute resolution.

Furthermore, Imran has been involved in the structuring, restructuring, and dispute resolution of various domestic and international companies in Southeast Asia. Notably, he has been appointed as a leader by companies such as Garuda Indonesia Group, including PT. Aero Globe Indonesia (Aerotravel), PT. Aerotrans Services Indonesia (Aerotrans), and PT. Aero Tourism (Aerotourism) and PT Telkom (Telecommunication).

In addition to his legal practice, Imran is actively involved in providing training services in the field of law through Yayasan Imran Ganie Education. He has conducted legal training for several state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and various companies in Indonesia, including PT. Pertamina (Persero), PT. Indonesia Power, and PT. Indonesian Port III (Persero), under regular supervision.

Mohamad Maher Hussain Ganie, S.H., has successfully managed numerous cases as lead counsel and achieved a 95% success rate in the cases he has led in the last years. These cases include civil litigation, commercial litigation, and criminal litigation. He has represented clients in various courts, including the BANI Arbitration Court, District Court, Court of Appeals, Supreme Court, and judicial review. His experience covers a wide range of cases, including contract disputes, civil cases, and torts. He has also successfully resolved cases through amicable settlements using mediation and negotiation techniques.

Mr. Sinaga has expertise in general corporate matters and has helped numerous domestic and international clients on various legal issues drawing from effective litigation strategies. He stands among leading litigation practitioners according to top legal surveys with recognition by international law journals. He has authored a book on competition law, acknowledged as a highly recommended book in its field.

Mr. Antony Leonardo  obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree (cum laude) from the University of Indonesia in 2011. He has in-depth experience in commercial transactions and international arbitration. He also regularly provides legal advice to numerous foreign and Indonesian clients.

He has worked extensively in various industries with regard to multinational transactions, legal advice and opinion, contract review, and negotiation, including transnational disputes. He has also been involved and acted as a legal counsel in various international arbitration cases.

He is a member of the Indonesian Bar Association and an associate member of the Indonesian Arbitrator Institute.

His distinguished career encompasses significant roles at premier financial institutions, including Managing Director positions at Credit Suisse Securities Indonesia and Goldman Sachs Singapore, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership in investment banking operations across Southeast Asia.

During his tenure as Head of Investment Banking at PT Danareksa (Persero), he successfully led numerous strategic initiatives, including state-owned enterprise privatizations and significant asset disposals for the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA). Mr. Gunawan currently holds the position of Independent Commissioner and Audit Committee Chairman at PT Sinar Eka Selaras (Erajaya Active Lifestyle), while also serving as a member of the Global Leadership Board at the US-Asia Institute, where he plays a pivotal role in fostering enhanced business relations between the United States and Indonesia.
